Family Dollar Armed Robbers Captured In Getaway Car by SHERIFF VICTOR HILL’S Elite COBRA SQUAD!
Let’s talk about bad timing for an armed robbery. Last night a member of Sheriff Victor Hill’s elite COBRA SQUAD (Sgt. Guthrie) was patrolling Tara Blvd at Johnson Rd. when he noticed a black male running southbound with a mask on his face and a cash register in his hand. The suspect ran to the next shopping plaza over and got into a SUV.
As Sgt. Guthrie got closer to the vehicle his police radio advised that the Family Dollar store on Tara Blvd at Johnson Rd had just been robbed at gun point. Sgt. Guthrie drew his service weapon and had the occupants of the vehicle to raise their hands and not move as other elite squad members arrived to assist with the arrest the suspects. The suspect wearing the mask and running with the cash register was identified as Deandre Carr and the getaway driver was identified as Stephen Boyle.
Clayton County Police Detectives arrived to investigate the robbery and pieced together that Boyle and Carr were responsible for at least two more robberies of Family Dollar stores.
Sheriff Hill responded to the scene as well to welcome Boyle and Carr to “The Hill-ton” where they are now learning how to properly face the wall at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail.
