Advisory

Martin Crocker, a masseur, arrested for voyeurism on Hilton Head Island. What we are asking of potential victims.

The Investigation

On Monday, October 14, 2019, 46-year-old Martin Crocker—a masseur on Hilton Head Island—was arrested for voyeurism, after a woman presented evidence to Sheriff’s Office deputies that Crocker videoed her getting dressed following a massage. In the investigation that ensued, Crocker was interviewed and several electronic devices, either owned or used by Crocker, were seized with search warrants: a cellular telephone, laptops, tablets, etc. And, as of this point in the investigation, it is believed that there may have been in upward of 50 women who were videoed by Crocker during and after massages over the past few years.

We ask for your patience during the Investigation

The electronic devices seized from Martin Crocker will be subjected to forensic analysis, which may take several months to complete. There is no information to indicate that any of the videos of Crocker’s massage clients have been shared or uploaded to social media or other sites. We are aware that Crocker acted as an assistant coach or in a support capacity with the Hilton Head Preparatory girls’ volleyball teams and are looking into that.

What we are asking Potential Victims to do

If you were a massage client of Martin Crocker, and are concerned that you may have been videoed during or after a massage, the Sheriff’s Office asks you to contact Staff Sergeant Eric Calendine at 843-255-3427 or Sergeant Seth Reynells at 843-255-3709. Information that will be asked of you may include: the date or dates of your massages by Crocker; how you paid for the massage or massages, weather by cash or by credit card; the location of the massage or massages, as Crocker provided services at a few massage businesses and in clients’ homes; distinguishing physical characteristics you may have, such as tattoos or surgical scars; and you will be asked either to provide a photograph of your face or to allow us to take a photograph of your face. This information is expected to assist in identifying potential victims during the analysis of Crocker’s electronic devices.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office appreciates your partnership and continued commitment to the safety of our community.
