Police arrest wanted homicide suspect 
Newark Director of Public Safety Anthony F. Ambrose reports the arrest of Zahir D. Moore, 19, of Newark, who was being sought in a September 29, 2019 homicide in the 100 block of Brookdale Avenue.
Moore was taken into custody yesterday when 6th Precinct officers observed him in the area of Columbia and Lafayette streets. He faces charges of murder, weapon possession and contempt of court as a suspect in the homicide of Waleik McCollum, 19, of Newark.
These charges are merely accusations. This suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
