SUSPECT: Travis McFarland, 29-years-old from Rancho Cucamonga
SUMMARY:
On Monday, October 14, 2019 at approximately 5:25 p.m., Deputy D. Marrujo from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department was conducting a routine traffic stop for VC24400; no front headlamp.
Deputy Marrujo contacted the driver and observed a glass pipe inside the vehicle consistent with methamphetamine use. The driver identified as Travis McFarland was found with heroin in his possession. A search of the vehicle was conducted and Deputy Marrujo located a black handgun, methamphetamine, heroin, plastic bags, a digital scale, switch blade, Xanax pills and an undetermined amount of U.S. currency.
Through further investigation, McFarland was found to be a convicted felon. He was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center and later posted bail and was released.
