4th Precinct Community Service Officer A. Porter attended the meeting of Concerned Citizens for a Better Neighborhood yesterday.
The group's guest speaker was Senator Ronald L. Rice, who addressed the group about vacant properties, assisting the homeless and the importance of partnering with neighborhood block watch groups.
Officer Porter presented a PowerPoint on neighborhood concerns, advising attendees about downloading the Newark Police Division's Smartphone app and encouraging them to report suspicious or criminal activities.
