Deputy stops driver with no license and uncovers methamphetamine 
Lt. Jason Cook of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Bryan Shawn Ollis, 45, address listed as Phillips Road in Spruce Pine, with possession of methamphetamine.
At 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, Cook was on U.S. 70 West, spotted Ollis driving a vehicle and knew the suspect didn’t have a valid driver’s license.
He stopped the automobile, and a search revealed 1.9 grams of methamphetamine.
