#PomonaPD Officers Save Man's Life

VICTIM: Male, 25yrs old.
UNIT: Dayshift Patrol
Pomona Police received a 911 call of a 25 year old man down experiencing an unknown type of medical emergency. When Officers arrived they recognized the symptoms of a drug overdose. They began rescue breathing and administered a NARCAN dose to the male. When this didn’t have the desired effect, they administered a second dose of NARCAN. This began to counteract the effects of the drugs. Shortly afterwards, he was taken by ambulance to a local area hospital where the man was treated. He later thanked the officers for their swift actions, which saved his life.
