Saddleridge Fire shutting down numerous freeways, Antelope Valley commuters must find other routes of travel! 
The California HIghway Patrol reports the following Traffic Alert:
"Due to the current fire situation in and around the SR-14 and I-5 junctions, the following routes are closed to freeway traffic. I-5 from Calgrove Blvd to SR-118. SR-14 from Newhall Avenue to the I-5 Fwy. I-210 from SR-118 to the I-5 Fwy. I-405 from SR-118 to the I-5 Fwy.
For Antelope Valley residents, alternate routes still open are Angeles Forest Highway and SR-138 east to the I-15 Fwy.These are tentative at the moment."

Numerous means of public transportation including AVTA and Amtrak have also been affected.
