UPDATE

Kayla has been found safe, was not victimized, and will be reunited with her family soon.

On 10/5/2019 the Redwood City Police Department was contacted by a mother who reported her 14 year old daughter (Kayla Espinoza) missing. The mother reported that Kayla had left after an argument. Evidence collected indicates that Kayla voluntarily walked away from the residence with a rolling suitcase. She was alone.
Further investigation revealed potential connections to the Central Valley and the Redwood City Police Department is actively partnering with those communities to locate Kayla.
Anyone with information regarding Kayla’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact Detective Monica Delacerda at 650-780-5050 or Juvenile and Family Services Specialist Manuel Velarde at 650-780-7195. Persons with information about this case or any other case who wish to remain anonymous may leave messages at 1-800-222-TIPS, or send the information online at www.BayareaCrimestoppers.org.
