Sheriff Richard J Behnke reports on 10/09/2019 at approximately 6pm his deputies responded to a injury crash. This crash occurred on Decatur Rd north of Shurte St, Penn Township, and Cass County MI. The initial investigation showed Christopher Lee, 40 year old, Elkhart resident, drove off the roadway into a curb flipping his vehicle onto its top. Mr. Lee and his front seat passenger Alicia Egber, 32 year old Elkhart resident were evaluated on scene by Life Care Ambulance and transported to Lakeland hospital in Niles for treatment. Seatbelts were worn and speed appears to be a factor. This crash remains under investigation.
