Victorville Sheriff’s Explorers Excel in Competition
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s, Explorer Post 502 from the Victorville Station, competed in the 2019 Riverside Police Explorer Competition. The competition took place over two days and included 12 scenarios. Twenty-seven separate Explorer Posts from various agencies competed over the weekend for their chance to take home a trophy.
Among the scenarios played out over the weekend were Active Shooter call, Domestic Violence call, Crime Scene Investigation, Shooting Competition, and an Explorer and Advisor Obstacle Course. The Victorville Post took 4th place overall in the competition. They earned individual trophies for 1st place in the Domestic Violence and Active Shooter scenarios, 3rd place for Female Advisor Obstacle Course, 4th place in Crime Scene Investigation, and 5th place in Officer Down Rescue.
Our young women and men spend a tremendous amount of time learning in the classroom, training in the field, and giving back to the community. The hard work they and their Deputy Advisors put in are evident in their success. Congratulations Post 502!
