Update on Public Safety Power Shutoff –Lakeport Operations

Update on Public Safety Power Shutoff –Lakeport Operations

As of this morning, we remain in communication with Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) and have no update on power restoration status.  We will remain in communication with PG&E and our partners at Lake County OES throughout the day and provide any updates we have to our community.

Police officers continue to heavily patrol to keep the public safe and public works crews continue to maintain critical water, sewer and other city infrastructure.  The police station and city hall remain fully operational.

City staff is continuing to monitor status of businesses and are aware of a few locations that are open.  We understand that restaurants O’Meara Brothers, Susie Q’s Donuts and the Gaslight Grill are open today.  The only grocery stores we are currently aware of that are trying to be open for the day are Bruno’s Shop Smart and Safeway with limited services.  There are no gas stations open in Lakeport – the closest gas is at Chevron at Highways 20 & 29 in Upper Lake.  See the business list on our website here for further info: Items shown in green are locations we have talked to in the past day.  We will update the list as we have updated information.

Be aware that local PG&E crews will be moving about to get in place to start checking lines as soon as the weather event ends.  Any frustration you may have with PG&E at this time please remembers that our local crews are doing their best to restore your power as soon as they can.
