Advisory

Updated information for PSPS - PG&E reported that Danville will not be affected by the PSPS.

Community Advisory PSPS Update

**** Update from PG&E ****

As of this morning, we have been told by the California Office of Emergency Services and PG&E that Danville should not be affected by the PSPS.  The PSPS is scheduled to begin at noon, at which point we can be 100% certain.  We should all continue to be prepared for future outages as well as exercising caution in traveling through areas that may be impacted by the current PSPS.  In San Ramon, we understand that this includes the area south of Crow Canyon Road to Bollinger on both sides of the freeway.  If traffic signals are non-operational, it’s best to avoid these areas until power is restored.

Original Post Below:

Contra Costa County will be part of a large Public Safety Power Shut Off (PSPS) initiated by PG&E starting at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2019. Restoration of power is expected to begin at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, October 10, 2019, and may take several days to complete.

Residents and businesses are urged to go to PG&E’s website outage map to determine whether or not their homes or businesses are within the area affected by the shutoff. https://www.pge.com/…/wildfires/psps-service-impact-map.page

PG&E has provided the Town with a city by city summary, accompanied by a map of customers that are expected to be impacted within Contra Costa County. http://www.danville.ca.gov/…/View/3551/PGE-Power-Shutoff-Ma…. The city by city summary indicates that no Danville customers are expected to be impacted. However, PG&E’s map illustrates the following areas within the Danville town limits may be affected by this outage. (To date, the Town has been unable to reconcile the discrepancy between the city by city summary and the map.)
