Investigation into drug activity results in Marion man's arrest 
Detective Paul Alkire of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Thaddeus Daniel Watkins, 44, address listed as Morgan Road in Marion, with possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine and maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance.
There had been an ongoing investigation into possible drug activity at Watkins’s home.
On the afternoon of Wednesday, Sept. 4, law enforcement officers from the Sheriff’s Office, Marion Police Department and the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation searched the residence and came away with 12 grams of methamphetamine.
