High Wind Watch until 12:00PM Friday

The National Weather Service in Juneau has issued a High Wind Watch, which is in effect from Thursday evening through Friday morning.

* LOCATION...The northeast and eastern gulf coast.

* WINDS...Gusts around 60 mph possible.

* TIMING...Winds will increase late Thursday, peak Thursday night and early Friday morning and potentially last into late Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...Prepare for potential power outages. Secure objects that may be blown around in the wind. Secure boats and aircraft.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CAPE FAIRWEATHER TO CAPE SUCKLING COASTAL AREA ... CAPE DECISION TO SALISBURY SOUND COASTAL AREA ... SALISBURY SOUND TO CAPE FAIRWEATHER COASTAL AREA
