Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) has been Confirmed by PG&E for the City of Cloverdale

The City of Cloverdale has Confirmed Extended Power Shutoff, Initiates Local Emergency Proclamation

City of Cloverdale – Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) is shutting off power through much of Sonoma County including the City of Cloverdale starting at midnight tonight. Power will be shut off in all or portions of Santa Rosa, Sonoma, Petaluma, Healdsburg, Cloverdale, Glen Ellen, Penngrove, Geyserville, Kenwood, Rohnert Park, Windsor, Annapolis, Stewarts Point, Cotati, Larkfield, El Verano, Boyes Hot Springs and Fulton.

The National Weather Service has upgraded the Fire Weather Watch to a Red Flag Warning for the North Bay Mountains and North Bay Interior Valleys, which includes a majority of Sonoma County, from 5 a.m. Wednesday, October 9, to 5 p.m. Thursday, October 10. In addition, a Wind Advisory has been issued for the upper elevations of Sonoma County, above 1,000 feet, from 6 a.m. Wednesday to 3 p.m. Thursday.

PG&E expects to start turning power back on starting on Thursday afternoon, but it could take up to five days for some people to have power again.

The City of Cloverdale will activate the Emergency Operation Center (EOC) to support residents and to respond to the impacts of an extended power outage.

For updates and to identify service areas that may be affected by the power outage, residents should visit www.pge.com/psps and check individual addresses on PG&E’s interactive potential outage map.

The City of Cloverdale has prepared for the PSPS Event. The Police Department will be patrolling neighborhoods and staying visible to ensure the safety of the community. The Public Works Department has prepared critical infrastructure.
