Advisory

October Event #1 – Message 1

The City of Rohnert Park has activated its Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in response to the forecast wind event. According to the National Weather Service, this is going to be a significant wind event with wind speeds exceeding 80 mph at certain mountain ranges. The PG&E Power Shutoff is highly probable at this time.

Given this wind event, PG&E is anticipating damage to their infrastructure. Power outages are expected, in addition to the planned Power Shutoff locations PG&E has mapped on their website. Please also keep in mind, these are only mapped projections and the affected areas will likely be outside of the shaded areas or not all of the shaded areas. This is the time to prepare regardless of what the map is currently showing.
