Wilmington Police arrest man on drug charges: 
Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges.
On September 26 at approximately 11:20 a.m., members of the Safe Streets Task Force were in the area of 8th and Kirkwood Streets when they observed 33-year-old Simon Brittingham acting suspiciously. As officers approached Brittingham, he fled on foot and entered a residence in the 800 block of North Pine Street. Officers were able to take Brittingham into custody a short time later without incident and recovered 181 grams of marijuana.
He was charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute
- Burglary (2nd degree)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Resisting Arrest
