Notice to Community Members: Increase in theft of motorcycles

Coordinated suspects are utilizing a stolen van/truck in order to steal motorcycles that are parked and are both secured with locks or left unsecured. The suspects are casing the area to determine where motorcycles are being parked and then coming back to the area once they have procured a vehicle to transport the stolen motorcycles. Resident should contact police immediately if they observe suspects loading a motorcycle in to a van or truck or suspect that a vehicle appears to be scouting a location. The most recent thefts have occurred during the overnight hours and apartment complexes are being targeted. Anyone with information should contact Det. Ed Slimm (856) 784-7566 x409.
