Homicide Detectives arrested Robert Vance of Apple Valley for the murder of Heidi Vance

INCIDENT: Murder Investigation
LOCATION: 16000 block of Rancherias Rd., Apple Valley
SUSPECT: Robert Vance, 51 years old, resident of Apple Valley
VICTIM: Heidi Vance, 53 years old, resident of Apple Valley
SUMMARY:
On Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 9:42 p.m. deputies responded to a home on Rancherias Rd. for a reported shooting. Deputies arrived and found the victim, Heidi Vance inside the home, unresponsive and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Heidi was pronounced deceased at the scene. Deputies contacted the suspect, Robert Vance, at the scene and he was detained without incident.
Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives responded to conduct the investigation. Detectives determined that Robert and Heidi are husband and wife and they were involved in an argument prior to the shooting. No other details are being released at this time.
Robert Vance was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for Murder.
