* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures 28 to 32 degrees expected.

* WHERE...In Utah, Southeast Utah and Eastern Uinta Basin. In Colorado, Lower Yampa River Basin, Debeque to Silt Corridor, Four Corners/Upper Dolores River, Animas River Basin and San Juan River Basin.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 9 AM MDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

* AFFECTED AREAS: SAN JUAN RIVER BASIN ... ANIMAS RIVER BASIN ... LOWER YAMPA RIVER BASIN ... EASTERN UINTA BASIN ... DEBEQUE TO SILT CORRIDOR ... SOUTHEAST UTAH ... FOUR CORNERS/UPPER DOLORES RIVER

Instructions:

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above- ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
