Join us for a “Day of Fun to Become One” at the 37th Annual North Brunswick Heritage Day tomorrow, Saturday, October 5 from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Community Park, 2053 Route 130 South. Rain date is Sunday, October 6.
Admission and parking is free. Rides and attractions require tickets or wristbands which are available at the information tent in Community Park for purchase.
Some of the day’s activities include local bands, dancing, food vendors, rides, petting zoo, pony rides, carriage rides, crafters and beer garden. The Heritage Day band lineup includes Jammin Steel, Oktoberfest and Tempo Alegre.
There will be great food from these wonderful vendors: BBQ from SMOKE-n-ROLL Food Truck, Indian Cuisine from Malaga, Vietnamese Street Food on Wheels from Uncle Tuans, Zinna’s Bistro, vegan treats from Harry’s Lil Kitchen, Some Soup, The Bake-A-Re, Nothing Bundt Cakes and Kona Ice. Don’t forget “Ms. Tangie’s Southern Mac-n-Cheese” and fresh squeezed strawberry lemonade at the Heritage Day Food Tent!
Representatives from the North Brunswick Township Police Department, Fire Department, First Aid & Rescue Squad, Office of Emergency Management and Department of Public Works will be in attendance, as well as many school organizations and local businesses.
The Ann Marie Chandlee Heritage Day Award ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. Laura Pelszynski is this year’s award recipient. The ceremony will be followed by the Parkway Soul Band, performing classic hits from the legendary band, Earth, Wind & Fire! A fireworks extravaganza will cap off the evening.
