IMPD Homicide Detectives Arrest Man After East District Death

 
INCIDENT TYPE: Homicide Arrest
 
INCIDENT LOCATION: 615 N. Temple Avenue, East District
 
INDIANAPOLIS- Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) arrested a man Thursday night for his involvement in an early morning homicide which occurred in the 600 block of N. Temple Ave.
 
On Thursday, October 03, 2019, just before 6:00 a.m., East District officers were dispatched to the 600 block of N. Temple Avenue reference a person down.  When officers arrived, they located a male who had sustained significant trauma to his body.  Indianapolis EMS arrived, and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.  
 
IMPD Homicide Detectives responded and began canvassing the area for evidence and speaking with potential witnesses. The Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist with identification and collecting potential forensic evidence.  The Marion County Coroner’s Office (MCCO) will be assisting and will determine the exact manner and cause of death. The name of the deceased can be obtained from the MCCO after proper next-of-kin notification has been made. 
 
IMPD Homicide detectives continued their investigations through the day and arrested 40-year-old Eddie Bingham for his involvement in this incident.  The Marion County Prosecutors Office will review the case and make a charging decision.
