10-03-2019 A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR TOM GIORDANO
My Dear Friends & Neighbors:
The month of October in National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer is one of the most common kinds of cancer in women. About 1 in 8 women born today in the United States will get breast cancer at some point. Most women can survive breast cancer if it found and treated early. A mammogram (screening test for breast cancer) can help find breast cancer early and it is easier to treat.
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a chance to raise awareness about the importance of finding breast cancer early. We have to spread the word about mammograms, and encourage our friends and family members to get yearly checkups.
Your health is very important to us and we want you to be around a very long time to enjoy your life, family and friends.
Get Checked, Stay Healthy and Be Safe.
