Sheriff Richard J Behnke reports his office investigated a single vehicle injury crash on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019 at 2114 hrs on Harvey St. near Walnut Rd., Porter Twp, Cass County, Michigan. The driver, Jamee Ketchem, 34 yrs of Goshen, IN was traveling Eastbound on Harvey St when she failed to negotiate the curve and crashed into a set of trees causing the vehicle to become fully engulfed in flames. Ketchem was able to exit the vehicle prior to the fire and sustained minor injuries. Airbags did deploy and a seatbelt was used. Ketchem was transported by the owner of the vehicle to the hospital for treatment of her injuries. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been factors in the crash.

Assisting on scene were Newberg Fire and Newberg EMS. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
