Detective Paul Alkire of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 42-year-old Jacob Edward Finley, address listed as Still Forest Drive in Marion, and 40-year-old Taniese Eleanor Wallace, address listed as NC 197 South in Burnsville, with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and possession of up to ½ ounce marijuana.
                On the evening of Sunday, Sept. 15, Alkire and Detective Jesse Hicks were in the area of Still Forest Drive due to reports of possible drug activity in the area.
                They spotted Finley driving a 2005 Cadillac with Wallace as the passenger. A check of the vehicle’s tag showed that the Cadillac had been reported stolen out of Buncombe County.
                During a search, detectives located a small amount of marijuana.
                The $5,000 Cadillac was recovered.
