A third suspect has been arrested in an attempt murder investigation

SUMMARY:
On Friday, September 6, 2019, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Morongo Basin Station, responded to the 72000 block of Wildcat Way, in the city of Twentynine Palms, for a report of an attempted murder. The victim was sitting on his front porch with his wife when the suspect, Joshua Hill, arrived at the location and challenged the victim to a fight. When the victim refused Hill opened fire with a firearm, nearly striking the victim.
An arrest warrant for Hill issued. Hill was located and arrested in Palm Springs by Morongo Basin detectives. He was booked into the Morongo Jail for the attempted murder and is being held on a $1,000,000.00 bail.
On Tuesday, September 17, 2019, detectives from the Morongo Basin Station served a search warrant in the 7500 block of Persia Avenue, in the city of Twentynine Palms. Detectives located Branden Smith, and evidence linking Smith and Hill to the attempted murder. Smith was arrested and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail. Smith is also being held on a $1,000,000 bail.
***UPDATE***
On Monday, September 30, 2019, detectives from the Morongo Basin Station located evidence linking Corey Harris to the attempted murder. Detectives located Harris in the city of Twentynine Palms, where he was arrested. Harris was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, for attempted murder. Harris is also being held on $1,000,000 bail.
