Three (3) Marijuana Grow Sites Eradicated 9/24 – 9/26

On 9/24/2019, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Unit served a search warrant for illegal marijuana cultivation at an address in the 4000 block of Esmeralda Rd. in Murphys. Deputies eradicated 934 growing marijuana plants and seized nearly 4 pounds of processed marijuana. Evidence was collected at the scene which indicated a marijuana concentrate extraction operation. 2 subjects were contacted as they arrived at the scene. Krsnathakur Widmer, age 30 of Badger, CA, was cited for 11358 H&S Illegal Marijuana Cultivation and 14604.1 (A) Driving with a Suspended or Revoked License. Dezmond Reynolds, age 27 of Phoenix, AZ, was cited for 11358 H&S Illegal Marijuana Cultivation. This location was previously eradicated in 2017 and 2018.
On 9/25/2019, a search warrant was served in the 5800 block of Segale Rd. in Avery for illegal marijuana cultivation. Deputies eradicated 711 growing marijuana plants. Additionally, deputies seized 1 firearm. Christopher Lee, age 22 of Avery, was arrested on charges of 11358 H&S Illegal Marijuana Cultivation, 11359 H&S Possession of Marijuana for Sale, and 182 PC Conspiracy to Commit Crime. Jessica Cyr, age 35 of Avery, was cited for 11358 H&S Illegal Marijuana Cultivation.
On 9/26/2019, a search warrant was served at a parcel located near the 1900 block of Toll Bridge Rd. in San Andreas. Deputies eradicated 1,408 growing marijuana plants. No subjects were located at the scene, however, evidence was collected and the investigation is ongoing. This location was previously eradicated in 2018.
Investigation into the illegal activities associated with these sites is ongoing.
