...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 9 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS, LOW HUMIDITY AND DRY FUELS FOR EAST-CENTRAL UTAH FIRE WEATHER ZONE 490 AND WEST-CENTRAL COLORADO FIRE WEATHER ZONES 290, 292 AND 293 BELOW 9000 FEET... ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR NORTHWEST COLORADO FIRE WEATHER ZONE 202, WEST-CENTRAL COLORADO FIRE WEATHER ZONES 202, 203, 205 BELOW 9000 FEET, 292 AND 293 BELOW 9000 FEET AND IN SOUTHWEST COLORADO FIRE WEATHER ZONES 290 AND 207... .On Monday, drier air will move in from the west with breezy conditions expected during the afternoon and evening hours despite winds being weaker than today. The combination of dry air and gusty winds will lead to critical fire weather conditions for portions of east-central UT where fuels are critical. Therefore, a Red Flag Warning was issued for UT490. Fire weather concerns may linger Tuesday as the drying air spreads into western Colorado and breezy conditions persist. The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 202 White River Forecast Area, Fire Weather Zone 203 Lower Colorado River and Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest Colorado Lower Forecast Area. In Utah, Fire Weather Zone 487 Book Cliffs and Fire Weather Zone 491 Southeast Utah.

* WINDS...Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...12 to 17 percent.

* IMPACTS...Conditions may become favorable for the rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires. Open burning is discouraged.

* AFFECTED AREAS: WHITE RIVER ... SOUTHEAST UTAH ... SOUTHWEST COLORADO LOWER FORECAST AREA ... BOOK CLIFFS ... LOWER COLORADO RIVER
