Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a man in Central Islip today.
Christopher Alexandre was driving a 2001 Saturn westbound on Motor Parkway when his car collided with a 2019 Nissan traveling eastbound at approximately 8:15 a.m.
Alexandre, 32, of Central Islip, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Nissan, Eliberto Martinez, 49, of Central Islip, was transported to Southside Hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352
