The Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the murder of 50-year-old Reginald Chaplin that occurred in the early morning hours of September 13, 2019 on Coinbow Loop in Burton. Investigators are asking for information from the public on the identities of those responsible. 
 

On the morning hours of September 13, 2019, Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of an injured person at a Coinbow Loop, Burton, home. When deputies arrived at the Coinbow Loop home, they found 50-year-old Reginald Chaplin deceased. A forensic autopsy confirmed that Chaplin's died as a result of gunshot wound(s) and that his manner of death was homicide.

Sheriff's Office investigators processed the Coinbow Loop home for forensic evidence and interviewed numerous witnesses. As of this time, the subject or subjects responsible for Reginald Chaplin's shooting death have not been identified.
