UPDATE: #LASD Death Investigation, 27800 blk of Palmeras Place, Rancho Palos Verdes
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a man and a woman. The incident occurred on Thursday, September 26, 2019, at approximately 2:47 p.m. at the 27800 Blk of Palmeras Place, Rancho Palos Verdes.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives have learned that personnel from the Lomita Sheriff’s Station received a call for service from concerned family members to check the welfare of a man and woman that reside at the location. Deputies responded to the location and upon arrival they found a 45 year-old female suffering from traumatic injuries, but deputies were unable to locate the male resident.
The female was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics.
During the investigation, detectives learned that the couple also owned another home in the City of Lake Arrowhead (San Bernardino County). A request was made to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department to check the welfare of any occupants at that residence. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Lake Arrowhead residence were they found a male adult suffering what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, Homicide detectives are not looking for any other suspects.
