The Fairfield Police Department regularly receives complaints regarding traffic law violations. Some of our goals include responding to the needs of our citizens, as well as reducing traffic collisions through traffic education and enforcement. On September 26th, at 2:34 pm Officer Spillner was conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Utah Street and Hayes Street to address some of these traffic concerns. Officer Spillner conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle for a violation of California vehicle code 26708(a)(1), which in part states, “A person shall not drive any motor vehicle with any object or material placed, displayed, installed, affixed, or applied upon the windshield or side or rear windows.”

Officer Spillner contacted the driver of the vehicle, Dajhon Colbertvance, a 19-year-old Sacramento resident that has several connections to Fairfield, including previously being identified as a local gang member. He learned Mr Colbertvance was driving without a driver’s license and is on active probation with search and seizure. Keysharie Fletcher, a 25-year-old female resident of Vallejo, was a passenger in the vehicle with Mr. Colbertvance.
During a search of the vehicle Officer Spillner located an illegally possessed loaded handgun concealed in the vehicle. The handgun did not have any serial numbers on the firearms and is what is commonly referred to as a “Ghost Gun.”

Dajhon Colbertvance and Keysharie Fletcher were both booked into Solano County Jail on several felony and misdemeanor charges.
