Deputies respond to the report of a stabbing and arrest Jerry Lucero for Attempted Murder

SUSPECT: Jerry Lucero, 60 years-old male resident of Needles
VICTIMS: Victim #1, 28-year-old male resident of Fort Mohave
Victim #2, 27-year-old female resident of Fort Mohave
Victim #3, 1-year-old female resident of Fort Mohave
SUMMARY:
On Friday, September 20, 2019, at 5:55 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police responded to the 1500 block of Lillyhill Drive in Needles following a 911 call requesting medical aid for stabbing victims. Upon the deputy arrival, multiple stabbing victims, including a 1-year-old child, were located and in need of medical attention. The victims were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for their injuries.
During the course of the investigation, Jerry Lucero was detained at the scene and subsequently arrested for attempted murder. Lucero was transported to the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto and booked for PC 664/187 (A); Attempted Murder. Lucero's bail was set at $1,000,000 and he is currently housed at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
