CURBSIDE PICK-UP OF LEAVES:

Byram Township is pleased to announce we will offer curbside pick-up of leaves that are in biodegradable paper bags.  Residents must place leaves in biodegradable bags and place them curbside by 6am on Monday, November 11^th.  Blue Diamond will pick up the bags on Monday.  There is no limit to the number of bags that will be picked up.
 
If a resident misses the curbside pick-up, the next curbside pick-up will occur on Monday, December 9^th.  Leaves may also be brought to the Township Recycling Center (located at 10 Mansfield Drive) or to Sussex County Utilities Municipal Authority (SCMUA).  Leaves may be brought to the Township during daylight hours in either biodegradable paper bags or loose (leaves in plastic bags will not be accepted).   As reminder, this is for residential use only; no contractors are permitted.  For information on SCMUA’s leaf disposal program, please contact 973-579-6998 or visit their website at www.scmua.org.  Please note there is a fee to do this. 
 
Please note that the Leaf Area at the Township Recycling Center will be closed from Saturday, December 14^th through Sunday, March 29^th.  Typically this area is closed from mid December through the end of March due to winter weather conditions.  However, there is the possibility that this area may closer earlier than mid December and/or may not open till late April as this is dependent upon the weather.  Please call the Township to confirm the dates this area will close and open (973-347-2500 x138).
