Coastal Flood Advisory until 09:00AM Sunday

...MINOR COASTAL FLOODING THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING... .Due to a long easterly fetch across the Gulf of Mexico and increasing swell periods, tide levels are running above normal. This will lead to tide levels up to around a foot of inundation (2 feet above Mean Sea Level) and waves running up to the dunes during the time of high tide. The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory, which is in effect until 9 AM CDT Sunday.

* COASTAL FLOODING...Tidal surf reaching the dunes during the times of astronomical high tides.

* TIMING...Through 9 AM CDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Walking may be difficult during high tide and vehicles may be inundated by high water.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CALHOUN ISLANDS ... ARANSAS ISLANDS ... NUECES ISLANDS ... KLEBERG ISLANDS

Instructions:

A Coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
