At approximately 12:00 PM today, Lakeport Police put out a request for public assistance to help identify two suspects in a series of vehicle tampering/vandalism/theft cases that occurred in a Lakeport neighborhood during the early morning hours on 09-20-19.
Throughout the day, several Lakeport Police Officers continued to investigate these cases. During the early afternoon hours, we received leads as to the identity of both suspects. We followed up and confirmed the identities of the two subjects who were 15 year old juvenile males from Lakeport. Both juvenile males were found at different times during the afternoon and at different locations where they were arrested for various charges related to the cases. One 15 year old was cited and released to a parent. The other 15 year old was taken into custody and transferred to the Lake County Juvenile Probation Department for further adjudication.
We sincerely thank the many members of the public who provided information which quickly lead to all of these cases being solved.
