This is an advisory message from the Newark Police Department. Saturday September 21st, 2019 is the annual Newark Days Parade. Traffic will be impacted this year different from years past.
This year both directions of Newark Blvd. will be closed between Cedar Blvd. and Civic Terrace Ave; both directions of Thornton Ave will be closed between St. Edwards Church and Cherry St.; and Cedar Blvd. will be closed between Edgewater Dr and Newark Blvd.
We will begin closing the roadways around 5 am and they will remain closed until about 1 pm. Once the roadways are closed, no vehicles will be allowed on the streets.
Please plan ahead!
Park your cars on surrounding neighborhoods and shopping centers if you are planning to leave during the road closures.
