Suffolk County Police yesterday arrested a man after he stole two tip jars in Bay Shore earlier this month.
A man entered Mitsui restaurant, located at 1 W. Main Street, on September 6 at approximately 11:30 a.m. and stole the tip jar from the counter. The same man entered Bay Shore Bean, located at 47 E. Main Street, on September 13 at approximately 6:10 p.m. and stole the tip jar from next to the register.
Investigation by Third Precinct Crime Section officers revealed the suspect was Khari Cuffie. Cuffie, 29, was arrested outside on 4th Avenue, near Union Boulevard in Bay Shore, yesterday at approximately 3:30 p.m.
Cuffie was charged with two counts of Petit Larceny. He was issued a Desk Appearance Ticket and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on November 19.
