Coastal Flood Advisory until 10:00PM
...MINOR COASTAL FLOODING POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING... .Tide levels running 1 to 1.5 feet above normal this afternoon will lead to water reaching the dunes in some areas along the barrier islands. Minor coastal flooding is possible in lower areas around Bays as well through this evening. Water levels generally less than 1 foot above ground level (around 2ft MSL) are expected. The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory, which is in effect until 10 PM CDT this evening.
* COASTAL FLOODING...Occasional tidal surf reaching the base of the dunes on North Padre Island, Mustang Island and in coastal flood prone areas along bays during high astronomical tides.
* TIMING...Through 10PM this evening
* IMPACTS...Poor driving conditions are expected as water reaches the dunes, mainly during high tide cycle. Some beach access roads will be impassible.
* AFFECTED AREAS: COASTAL KLEBERG ... COASTAL NUECES ... ARANSAS ISLANDS ... NUECES ISLANDS ... KLEBERG ISLANDS
