*****ADVISORY MESSAGE TO SEA GIRT RESIDENTS******
residents are reminded to secure and lock doors to vehicles and houses. Sea Girt Officers stopped a vehicle in the center of town on the overnight last night, inside the vehicle were three subjects with extensive criminal backgrounds. There is a high probability these subjects from the Newark area were attempting to locate and steal unlocked high end vehicles. We hope we sent a clear message to them to avoid our area in the future due to our officers vigilance and residents limiting opportunities by locking their vehicles. We again ask for your help by reporting anything unusual, making sure surveillance systems are charged and running and most importantly, lock all doors.
