Public Notice: The pedestrian/bicycle bridge connecting Bayfront and Hauke Parks is closed until further notice.  

One of the twelve piers supporting the bridge has been compromised.  
Structural engineers will inspect the bridge and make recommendations for next steps.  At this time, it is not known if temporary bracing or repairs may be necessary or feasible or how long the bridge will be closed.    While the bridge is closed, walkers and cyclists will be required to use alternate routes.  It is recommended that parks and school users consider their destination and access the facilities from Hamilton Drive and Sycamore Avenue as is appropriate.   Updates will be provided to the Mill Valley Middle School, large park users such as athletic groups, signs posted in the area, though the City’s website and email blasts where appropriate.
