DRUG ARREST
DRUG ARREST 
On 09/10/2019, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Unit was conducting a saturation patrol enforcing the North Carolina traffic laws.
At approximately 1600 hours, Deputy Chavez-Perez stopped a silver 4 door Buick for an inoperable brake light on the vehicle. The traffic stop was conducted at Cliffside Park on NC highway 120.
Deputy Chavez-Perez identified the driver as Jodi Carolyn Harriman, she was also the registered owner of the vehicle. The front seat passenger was identified as Paige Elaine Conner.
Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office canine handler Mitchell Hinson arrived on scene and deployed his canine partner around the vehicle while Deputy Chavez-Perez was issuing a citation for the traffic violation. The canine alerted to the vehicle giving officers probable cause to search. During the search, numerous illegal substances were located along with U.S. Currency.
Jodi Carolyn Harriman was found in possession of .4 grams of methamphetamine, 2 dosage units of Suboxone and drug paraphernalia.
Paige Elaine Conner was found in possession of 255 grams of methamphetamine, 71.71 grams of Marijuana, 128 dosage units of Tramadol 50mg, five (5) dosage units of Hydrocodone 325mg, five (5) dosage units of Alprazolam 325mg, and $100.00 in U.S. Currency. All of these items were located inside Conner’s purse.
All of these items listed were seized, the two females were arrested and transported to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office detention center where they were processed and charged.
Jodi Carolyn Harriman was charged with Simple Possession Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Maintain a vehicle/Place for Controlled Substance, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She received a $27,000.00 Secured Bond
Paige Elaine Conner was charged with Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine, Felony Possession with intent to Manufacture/Sell/Distribute Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Simple Possession Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Simple Possession Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Felony Possession with intent to Manufacture/Sell/Distribute Schedule IV Controlled Substance. She received a $90,000.00 Secured Bond.
