The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a
* Flood Advisory for... Southeastern Blackford County in east central Indiana... Western Jay County in east central Indiana...
* Until 1015 PM EDT.
* At 810 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Radar estimates of around one inch of rain has already fallen over the advised area. Radar estimates up to 2 inches of rain has already fallen in southwestern portion of Jay County near the city of Redkey. This will cause flooding in the advisory area.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Dunkirk, Redkey, Pennville, Center, Blaine, Collett, Bluff Point, Powers, Trenton, New Mount Pleasant and Como.
* AFFECTED AREAS: BLACKFORD, IN ... JAY, IN
Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
