| Thousand Oaks armed robbery suspect arrested in Camarillo. On 09/07/19, at approximately 9:15 pm, the victim met with the suspect in the parking lot of 1908 E Avenida De Los Arboles in Thousand Oaks for the purpose of purchasing items from the suspect. The victim and suspect had previously engaged in business transactions with one another, without incident. On this date, the suspect produced a handgun and robbed the victim of property. During the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified as Victor Carrillo. On 09/11/19, detectives from the East County Major Crimes Unit, with the assistance of members of the Thousand Oaks Police Department’s Directed Enforcement Unit, located Carrillo at a motel in the city of Camarillo. When Carrillo came out of his room, detectives took him into custody without incident. During a search of his person incident to arrest, Carrillo was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. A search warrant was obtained for his motel room and resulted in the collection of evidence related to the robbery. Carrillo was booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for violations of 211 PC – Robbery, 11377(a) H&S – Possession of a Controlled Substance, and 11364(a) H&S – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. His bail amount was set at $100,000. Carrillo subsequently posted bail and was released from custody. His next court date is set for 09/27/19 at 8:15 am. |
