**UPDATE** AVOID State Rd 38 westbound from I65 due to heavy traffic, officers out for traffic control 
Lafayette Police Department advises you to AVOID westbound State Rd 38 E from I-65 due to current traffic congestion.
The Indiana State Police are working an accident on I-65, traffic is being redirected through Lafayette causing major delays on State Rd 38 E headed westbound. Please avoid State Rd 38 E to Creasy Ln and Creasy Ln to Sagamore Pkwy.
Officers will be present for traffic control at US Hwy 52 and Veteran's Memorial Pkwy as well as State Rd 38 and Veteran's Memorial Pkwy.
Please seek an alternate route until further notice.
