Deputy David Jones of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Tara Lashay Thompson, 20, address listed as Gowan Loop in Marion, with possession of methamphetamine.
                On the evening of Thursday, Aug. 22, Jones assisted state probation and parole officers with an incident at the Tate Street Welcome Center.
                Thompson, who is on probation and subject to warrantless searches, was found in possession of 2 grams of methamphetamine.
