Texting while driving is one of the most dangerous distractions a driver can become involved in behind the wheel.  It requires three of the primary degrees of attention required to drive safely; visual, manual and cognitive.  Visually it takes your eyes off the road.  Manually it takes your hands off the wheel.  Cognitively it takes your mind off the road.  "Off" is the key word - you have taken "off" from driving safely and responsibly.  Don't take off and "drive while intexicated".  Put away the mobile phone device until you arrive safely at your destination.  Drivers on the road as well as your family appreciate it!
