| A serial robber is in custody after a crime spree in Ventura County. On 08/03/18, at approximately 11:20 pm, a male suspect entered the Mobil gas station located at 445 North Ventu Park Road in Newbury Park and committed an armed robbery. The manner in which the robbery was conducted, along with the suspect’s appearance, matched two previous robberies that occurred in Ventura County; one was in the city of Camarillo and the other in the city of Ventura. During the East County Major Crimes Unit’s investigation into these robberies, they not only linked the three known robberies together, but also found an additional robbery committed by the same suspect that occurred in the city of Oxnard. The suspect was identified as Andre Ingram. During the course of the investigation, detectives found that Ingram had been arrested in the state of North Carolina, on unrelated charges, and was in custody there. Detectives, with the help of the Sheriff’s Fugitive Unit, were able to have Ingram extradited to Ventura County on 4 counts of 211 PC – Second Degree Robbery. Ingram was booked into the Ventura County Sheriff’s East County Jail on 09/08/19. Ingram had additional outstanding warrants and his total bail amount was set at $375,000. Ingram’s next court appearance is set for 09/10/19 at 9:00 am. |
