Deputy Bob Green of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Justin Daniel Pfouts, 29, address listed as Applegate Village in Old Fort, with assault with a deadly weapon, assault on a government official or employee and resisting a public officer.
                Shortly after 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, Green and other deputies were called to Gowan Loop in Marion in reference to a dispute.
                The victim, Chris Miller, was at home on Gowan Loop, when Pfouts drove onto his property, argued with Miller then rammed into Miller, who was on a bike, with his car.
                As Green was trying to take Pfouts into custody, he pushed the deputy then fled on foot. Pfouts was apprehended a short time later and taken into custody.
